These are some of the first illustrations from the book I am producing aimed at educating children aged around 10 years old on famous historical figures. Recent studies show that many children of this age are unfamiliar with many of these figures and their achievements or reasons for notoriety. A survey of science knowledge revealed that one in 10 children thinks the Queen invented the telephone, while others believed it to be the invention of Charles Darwin or Noel Edmonds. This is proof that they need to be educated on such things, and in a fun and interactive manner that keeps them interested and adopts teaching methods of facial recognition and alphabetical formatting that are successful in teaching much younger children.
